My Firefox spikes memory usage and stops firefox from working every time i start Firefox. This always happens when i start it up. I'm not sure why this is and I'm not sure how to fix it. it usually spikes again like 30-45 seconds after and gives brief time to use internet (5-15 secs) and after like another minute or so, i can use internet fully, and periodically every 15-30 minutes it freezes and does same thing when i start Firefox. If anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate the support. (P.S. I use the task manager often and keep it open a lot, i can see the memory usage spiking, and i can see it when it goes down when it unfreezes)(uninstalling it and reinstalling it doesnt work to)

First question is how much RAM does your system have? When I run firefox with one tab open it is using 211MB of ram.

It is a RAM problem, but you could help by starting FF showing a blank page. If you want to see an interesting result, choose the same page in FF, IE and a third browser and see the RAM usage. You'll be surprised.
If the problem is persistent you might want to do a RAM test.

Which version of Firefox are you using?

Disable all extensions/addons and restart Firefox. If this fixes the problem, re-enable the addons one at a time, restarting Firefox after each one, and test until the problem returns. The last one you re-enabled is the most likely culprit.
