Extracting files from WinXp cd

Hello all, wonder if someone might be able to give me some assistance.

Apparently CA has detected a Virus in a file in my Windows\System32 folder and Quarantined it. It is wextract.exe. I've tried using the MS Configuration utility to extract the file from the Win XP cd, but since it isn't in a .cab file it won't. I've searched and it appears it is in the I386 folder as wetract.ex . Does this particular file need to be extraced or is the extention just changed to ex instead of exe? If that is the case can I just copy it over and change the extention?

Thanks in Advance.
