Hello, I recently transferred around 650 GB of video files to my Toshiba External HDD.
The Transfer left most of the files damaged and unwatchable (the files are .avi, .mp4, .mkv)
I already ran a disk check (Properties->Tools->Check Now->Auto fix file system errors and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors)
This fixed some of the errors, but many of the files are still experiencing the same problems ex: audio cutting out, pixilation, etc

Anyway, my question is what do you recommend I do/What can I do now to try fixing these broken files.
If someone can help save me from downloading all these files over I'd be grateful.

Are the files intact and working properly from the external HDD?

Based on the fact that there were errors found and it tried to fix them, I'd say the external drive is faulty (ie: bad sectors) and the data is corrupted. Data cannot be recovered (ie: fixed) from bad sectors.

So, I managed to recover a bunch of the data and spent the better part of this month replacing what couldn't be recovered. I moved a bunch of it to my external HDD. Then it just decided to stop working normally. I don't know if that was in response to the transfer encountering those "Bad sectors".
Anyway, here is a picture. All of the files in the window on the left transferred without issue, with the exception of the folder Archer, the only file that transferred successfully is the .ini.
So is it indeed the "bad sectors" that are preventing the transfer from working? If so is it possible for me to block off those sectors from being used?
