External Hard Drive Failure

Hi -

My desktop PC died and now I am trying to recover the data from my hard drive. It was a very old computer and the mother-board died, so I purchased a case for my hard drive and tried to pull the data that way. However, the hard drive is not fully recognized by my laptop.

I can see it under the Hardware Profiles screen (right click on My Computer... properties..etc). However, it does not appear under my computer. I have tired to restart my computer with the external hard drive in CS, Slave, and Master modes.

Any thoughts?
