Greetings to all!
I am working with an older system, please see below, and two older Dell monitors.

I purchased a DP to VGA connector and have monitor 1 in the VGA port and monitor 2 connected to the connector in the DP in the rear. Monitor 2 isn't being recognized and automatically goes into "Enter Power Save".
Do I need to somehow "wake up" the DP on the PC through BIOS or is the method of connecting the monitors to extend that I'm trying not possible?

I'm not quite sure about what you are describing. If you're trying to daisy chain monitors, this Dell page may prove helpful: How to Daisy Chain Multiple Monitors Using DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (MST) | Dell US
I am trying to daisy chain monitors. These monitors are older, Dell P2210 & 1908FPb. The PC is also an older HP model which has a DP. I bought a VGA to DP adapter thinking that if this would allow me an extended desktop display however the 1908FPb monitor does not display. I thought it would be a simple PnP but no dice.
