virus? explorer.exe slowing me down

Hello,
I had a thread in highjackthis, but I was told that my log is clean now. My problem is that sometimes my computer slows down significantly, and in Task Manager it shows explorer.exe using up alot of memory and cpu time. Does anyone have any idea what can be the problem? I also notice that ccproxy.exe seems to sometimes use way too much memory, like 138,000 peak usage.
Please advise! Thanks

Hello there

Right click My Computer > Properties > find the auto update tab and uncheck auto updates.

ccproxy.exe is related to Norton. I usually don't recommend using Norton for that very reason. It's a resource hog at times and causes problems, but that's just my opinion. I'm sure others have it run smoothly.

For more information regarding the ccproxy.exe file, click here.
