My friends and myself tried playing on LAN the other day to avoid all the network issues we usually face. But we wanted to be online at the same time, so we connected to the internet and went into an online server. We were connected through wifi, not through a wire. (Black Ops 3 Zombies) (PS4)
At first, the game was perfect, 0 ping, no lag at all. Almost like 30mins in, we started experiencing horrible lag. Everyone besides the host of the lobby just started rubber banding and a lot of delay.
The lag makes no sense at all to me because we were on the same wifi network on the same internet connection, only thing different about the connection was that the PS4's were assigned different IP's manually, to make sure the ports were open.
The router we were using was the Tenda N150. If we use a better router with a 300Mbps bandwidth, will that help at all?
Any help would be appreciated.
Also, does the internet connection speed have anything to do with it? We had 10down and 4up.
