My hard drive is expandable and upgradable with 4 bays and 3 slots-I know I can upgrade the memory to 256 but what else can I do to speed it up? And what does it mean by expandable? :4-dontkno
It sounds like you're talking about your computer CASE having 4 drive bays and 3 slots (guessing PCI slot places - probably a micro atx case). Unless you're planning on getting a high preformance hard drive (assuming you don't already have one), there's not much you can do to increase your performance in the hard drive area. upgrading to 256M should help, especially for Windows XP
ram is definatly the key on an XP computer, 256 will let you browse the web, 512 will let you play old games 1gb will let you play new games (with a good gcard)
if you have a computer with less then 256, your going to run really slow, as it has to use the hard drive as ram (a difference of 100 times slower or so...)
