Is there a way to protect part of a formula from changing? The formula is real simple: =D25/D12. I need to keep the D12 from being changed when the formula is copied but let the D25 change as needed. Is this something that I need to set a variable or code to do?

Thanks for the assistance.

Hi Steve

In the formula bar, click within the part of the formula you want to remain constant - in this case D12. Now press F4. D12 will now include the dollar sign ($). This means that D12 is now an absolute reference and will not change when copied. You can see more details in the help files - search for 'absolute references'.
