When I use a simple C1=abs(A1-B1) where A1=12.5 and B1=12.47 my believe is that C1 should return the value 0.03. However when I used conditional formatting on C1 where at any value greater than 0.03 the cell would color red it did. Now when I expand the amount of decimal places to 16 C1 reads 0.0300000000000011!

How is this possible and how can I solve this?

I accidently crosslinked the outcome of another calculation with another in the used example in my first post.

Here's my exact sheet:

6.50 - 6.47 = 0.0300000000000002
12.50 - 12.47 = 0.0299999999999994
25.00 - 24.97 = 0.0300000000000011
