Here's the thing: my motherboard sucks. SiS chipset, 760. I am currently using 94.24. It's stable for games, but several applications, such as Firefox and Photoshop, crash or are not stable. With 94.24, my card, 7800 GS BFG Copper Heatsink OC, is correctly identified as AGP 8x. With driver versions past the 90 series, my card is identified as PCI, and in several driver versions as 7900 GS. The only exception to this is 180.02 to 180.05. It is correctly identified as AGP, but polygon errors make games unplayable.

My AGP Gart/Chipset drivers are up to date. I've tried turning off write combining and different acceleration settings. I've tried different AGP speeds. Is there anything anyone could recommend? I just want to be able to do my job and play some games from time to time. Is there a setting, perhaps, that I can use to force AGP?

Motherboard: Asus K8S-LA
RAM: 1GB Corsair
CPU: 3200+ AMD 64-Bit Athlon
OS: Windows XP SP3 Pro
HDD - WD 160GB ATA
Video Card: BFG 7800 GS OC with Copper Heatsink AGP

You can try a bios update. The motherboard appears to be an Oem part , only for hp , compaq , and other companies. Go to the manufacturers website and look for a bios update for the machine.
