I know this is a common situation with drivers, I just never asked before!
You find an obscure driver and download it and then un-zip it. You have 3 or 4 files-no installer-no .txt file. Just something on the order of....*.inf, *.sys, *.dat, *.cat.
You know what I'm talking about. I know where an *.inf file usually goes but what about the others, do they all go in the INF file?
I figured it's about time I learned this one.:embarased

I think I know what your saying. Once the .inf is used I believe the
other files go into the system folder and system32 folder, if Im not
mistake. If you really want to know, make sure that your system is
set to show all hidden files. Then go to your start bar, and do a search
on the particular extention. Should show you exactly where they went.
