i hated vista so used xp disc to go back ,now i have a question mark besides ethernet controller and pci bus . I can't connect , tried to update drivers , still not working ..at a loss , any ideas???? thanx !!!
product is acer AM1610-UD2180A desktop , orig had vista

You need the chipset drivers and then the lan drivers from ACER for Windows XP. Install the Chipset drivers first, that should clear your bangs on the PCI Bus. Then the Ethernet drivers will install without a problem.
