I have a Gateway GT5056 Computer with a Belkin F5D7000 Wireless card. I reformatted my computer and decided to switch to ethernet over the wireless (my router uses both). When I plugged in an ethernet cable and made sure everything was set correctly, I couldn't access the internet. When I went to the dos prompt and typed ipconfig, it didn't show me anything except this:

"Windows XP IP Configuration"

it didn't say anything about IP addresses etc.

Anyone have any ideas??

is your NIC enabled?, or even listed in the device manager? sounds like your computer doesn't know its present, or you don't have the drivers installed

It is listed in the device manager but it won't connect or do anything. I have the drivers because I just reformatted with the Gateway CD.
