OK so i have a emacheen that i have customized meaning that the only thing that is emacheen is the mother board and cpu i got a real nasty virus and has to format all four of my hard drives and reinstall the o/s xp home sp2 on my pc no the problem is that when i try to get on line with my on Bord Ethernet it will not let me or it is slower than dial up keep in mind that i have a 20meg broadband connection when i go to my network setting it shows me that it is sending 0 packets and receiving 30 packets it should me much more than that or it tells me that i have limited or no connectivity i cant seem to figer this out the only way i can get online it to use my net gear wireless adapter i have tried to use a pci Ethernet card thinking that my on Bord Ethernet was crapping out but it is the same thing can some one please help me out on this one i also tried to release and renew my ip with the cmd prompt and this has not helped me thank you all that help me with this it is a intell 3.33 cellron d due core with 4 gig ddr2 ram

Did you load the motherboard drivers, including the ones for the Network Adaptor?

yes i did and i got it working but the problem now is my hdd light is lighted all the time and will not shut off and my cpu is at 100% most of the time i cant figer out what is wrong with this thing

I'd guess that either the virus is back or not all the drivers are loaded.

Press the CNTL/Alt/Del keys all at the same time and select Task manager . . look for something using the CPU
