It could be the cable or the network card failing.

ethernet cable problem?
I have an older ME computer hooked into my network with an ethernet cable-all of a sudden, it is no longer connected-the light on the Linksys modem for #2-which is it's cable, I think, is no longer lit-I've disconnected and reconnected and still nothing-do you think the cable has gone bad? It's only a year old and has never been moved other than by the cats.
