Hi there
I have recently purchased a Eee pc notebook which comes with a trial version of the above software. I loaded norton internet security 2004 onto it and since then hangs as soon as the computer boots up leaving the ESET NOD 32 Activiation window on screen.

I cant get into the control panel or to programs to uninstall either. I am running xp home edition. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Does the system work when you boot up in safe mode?

Hello & welcome to TSF,

what you need to do is as soon as you push the start button is start tapping the (F8) key repeatedly

this will take you to a screen that has several selections

choose (safemode) this will disable all on your system so that you uninstall the antivirus

you wont be able to connect to the internet for your ethernet controller will also be disabled

when done just reboot and all wil return to normal
