Since no-one has responded to my first post, I'll ask the qu. again...since yesterday, I've received a message upon arriving at Windows saying NDS Load String ()is Error. (Not found INI File :[C:\DRIVERS\CONFIG FREE\NDSFiles\NDSNL.ini] Microsoft are unable to help me as my Windows was pre-installed on my laptop, the Toshiba Canada website is down so there is no-one to help at all. I would really appreciate some help as to what this file is, what does ot do, how necessary is it etc. I cannot restore it with Norton System works as it seems to have disappeared! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanx

As far as I know, NDS is Novell Directory Services. Is your laptop used on a Novell network?

A hijackthis log would show an entry for
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NDSTray.exe] C:\DRIVERS\CONFIG FREE\NDSFiles\NDSTray.exe
You may be able to disable this in msconfig , but it basically means you need to update your driver for your toshiba config free tray bar.
