My cable modem connection was out this morning. Was a Comcast problem somewhere in my neighborhood, not my modem. Anyway I was unplugging the modem and plugging in trying to reset it. On one reboot I got the following error messages with the network cable unplugged:

AsmiHwIo
Can't open kernal driver asLM75.sys

I clicked OK and got:

AsGetDmi
Can't load AsmiHwIo.dll

Everything is working fine not that Comcast has fixed their problem, what ever it was. My question is what do these error messages mean and could they have been related to the unplugged Ethernet cable. Could not find anything in XP help.

If you have this asus motherboard, then this is for you. If not, it was the best I could do with the info given.

Does not look related to your network cable being unplugged....

Unless asus is spying with their "probe"

Thanks, that was a quick answer. I have an ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard, ASUS Probe installed and Windows XP Professional. I need to study the other thread. At least I now know where the messages came from.
