Hi agaim to everyone,

having another problem with my Dad's computer that I can't seem to fix. He installed a new AIO printer from Dell, but its not responding to the PC. Any attempt to print or set-up results in the error message "print spooler service not running". I've tested the printer itself and it's fully functioning, so I'm assuming the problem lies within XP. Is there anyway to turn the print spooler on?

Go to Start>Run> in the box type "services.msc" click ok

Look in the list that appears for print spooler and set it to automatic.

Reboot the computer

Thanks Doby, I didn't even know services.msc existed. The spooler was set to automatic but after snooping around I found one of the other services it was dependant on was disabled (have no idea how that happened). Thank you very much for helping  .
