Hi all,
I am new to this. I deleted some items on my desktop and I deleted some serious files. I have a Toshiba Pro Satellite 430CDT. Running win 98. When I turn on my computer, my id and password login comes up.When I enter my password, I get the following error message:

I have blank screen with no start up button and can't get into system. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

First, I would try booting into safe mode by toggling F8 as your machine starts up. If you can get into safe mode, it's much easier to proceed.

If that does not work, you can try putting your OS CD in the computer and starting it up.

In either case, the point is to attempt a repair operation using the CD.
