I have a Dell laptop with windows XP. I use it with my wireless broadband router. Over the past few weeks occasionaly when I switch on the laptop I get a message "Duplicate name on the network". I am not sure what I
need to do and what is causing this. Please advice.

We just setup the router as in the manual. There was nothing on the encrypting during the setup.

Thanks I'll look it up in the manual once again. Is there something I can do to prevent others from using my network?

Thanks swaffml. I got it resolved by contacting the tech support for the wreless modem.
