The common causes are a Antivirus program interfering with the setup, disable you security programs and try reinstalling, or an older office product running in the background make sure all office apps are closed and check the processes and services tabs in task manager for any office related apps or services running, including Groove, Onenote, Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail sometimes even Internet Explorer and of course Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint all have to be closed.
