Hey I installed windows 7 and for some reason it just restarts like every 5 minutes. And when it finally stays on for more than 5 minutes it just runs the Start Up Repair and says that it cannot fix the problem. Upon looking and the test results the only error is 0x490 and it says "Boot configuration is corrupt". Does anyone know what part of my hardware is doing this? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the help, I'll try that stuff. Could it be a problem with the hard drive though? Like could it be corrupt or something?

I found out how to do the HDD diagnostic but I have to download it off the manufacturer's website which is impossible since I cant even load the OS. Is there anything else I can do?

The HDD diagnostics are DOS based. Burn the HDD diagnostic ISO to CD-R and boot from the burned CD. Windows does not load during the HDD diagnostics test.

Use ImgBurn to burn ISO to CD --> http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
