Hi,

When I try to print any doc, My EPSON C84 printer gives the message that " Ink Out" . I know that isn't true because I changed the cartridge (original EPSON) just a week ago and were able to print docs for few days after that without any problem.

The printer has passes its warrenty period but had been working okay until now. Anyone has any suggestion on how to get this printer working again? I cannot run the Printer Utilities programme as 'Ink Out' message will not let me do anything else but Abort the job.

Thanks,

You could try taking all the cartridges out putting them back in, switching the printer off before/after. That probably won't work (!), so next try the SSC Service Utility. This is a Russian made printer program. It's got some useful options. Can't remember where to get it, but it will show up in a web search, I'm sure. After installing, open the program, close it, and only them will a system tray icon appear, which you right-click. Up come the options, including ink counter reset. However, it doesn't work with all printers!! Thirdly, get a chip re-setter. They are about $10-20. Last - but not least - go to www.fixyourownprinter.com , who are excellent.

Phil.
