When im shutting windows drops window with some programs names and in the bottom is button end now. what should i that the program shuts down automaticly? :4-dontkno

Go Here and scroll to line 76.

In the right pane, right click on "Auto End Tasks to Enable a Proper Shutdown" and select "Save to download folder".

Right click on the downloaded .reg file and select "Merge". When asked if you want add this to the registry - confirm.

What doesn't open? Merging the new registry entries into the registry doesn't need to open anything, but you have to reboot to complete the process.

What programs are listed in the window?

Do you close down all programs before trying to shut down?

Are you using the Start > Turn Off Computer button?
