eMule high ID

I have connected my PC's into a LAN. My PC is connected to internet. I get high ID in eMule. But my brother who is using other PC (not connected directly to iternet) gets low ID. Low ID means that he is firewalled... Well I think that's smth with port forwarding, right? But I can't get it working... What exactly should I do?
