I've got MS Outlook 2010 and two Hotmail accounts linked to it. Both have been having their messages loaded in Outlook fine until a few days ago when one of them started getting error messages when pressing 'Send/receive' as follows:
Task [email address] reported error (0x8004102A) : ‘Error with Send/Receive. There was an error synchronizing with your folder hieracrchy. Error : 80041004’
Task [email address] reported error (0x8DE00005) : ‘There is an error synchronizing your mail account. Please verify your account is configured correctly by first accessing your mail on the web. Error : 3219. Server. An error occured in looking up the user’s information in mserv.’
I am able to access my emails from this account by logging in directly to outlook.live.com. The emails from my other account load fine.
I've looked in 'Account Settings' and the only thing I can see different between the two accounts is that under 'Data Files', under 'Location' it says 'Not available'. whereas the working address links to an 'ost' file. There is a third account listed here ('Outlook1'), which links to the 'pst' file that contains all the data relating to the account that's not working.
I don't want to do anything that jeopardises my data, so I'd appreciate anyone's assistance.
