Email Problem with XP

Hey Everybody

I just got a new (old) computer from a friend that runs on XP. My laptop runs on ME.

Using my XP machine, I go to either my Yahoo mail account or my Hotmail account. It will let me read the mail. If there happens to be a link (url) inside the email, I can click on that link and the computer does nothing. I can right click and click on Open in new window and it does nothing. I can copy/paste the url and it works.

My laptop running ME opens everything fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

David

try repairing internet explorer,if that fails, reinstall it, but dont download IE7 yet, that screwed up my computer the other day
since your internet is working fine, besides uninstaling IE and reinstalling it again, try scanning the computer for any malicious spyware and viruses.

also if you have your own copy of windows xp, try putting in the cd in the cdrom while on windows. then go click on start -> run -> type in "sfc /scannow" without the "". after this process is complete reboot the computer again. then when you get to windows see if you can click on the links while you read your email, good luck.
