Firstly may I state that I am not sure how these things work or understand all terminology so whatever advice you give please make it simple to understand.
I have a windows 7 laptop and my internet is via a cable modem which is provided by Virgin.
If I want to use the internet I must stay in the study so I thought it would be a good idea if I could use the internet elsewhere in the house.
I bought an Edimax 150 Mbps Wireless ADSL2/2+ Modem Router (AR-7284WnA /AR-7284WnB) and have since tried to connect it to my computer but it looks like I can only connect via a phone point which I dont have in the study. Is there a way I can connect this wireless router through my cable modem so I can use cable in the study and wireless elsewhere. Hope you can understand my drivel.
P.S Asda will not take item back as I have lost the receipt.
