Well, as an amateur techy I'm ashamed of myself for not knowing this... but...

I was wondering If I can put another SATA (internal) hard drive in my computer, and be able to access it the same way I can access a USB flash drive?

Would I have to format the disc first?
Exactly what are the steps I would need to take in order to remove Linux from the hard drive, plug it in (internally), and be able to use it like this?

Thanks ahead of time

Specs:
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
CPU: Intel i5 2500 Sandy
RAM: 4gb (2x2) 1600
OS: Windows Home Premium 64bit
CURRENT HDD (WITH OS): Seagate Barracuda SATA 500GB 7,200rpm 6gb/s
OTHER HDD (that I wish to use as extra storage space): Not sure of brand/rpm/speed, but I know it's 250gb SATA.

Bump within 3 hours ! disconnect the boot drive in the pc connect the new drive and run dban for approx 15min to wipe the linux partitions. Then put the boot drive back connect the new drive as a 2nd SATA then create a partition in disk manager and format it NTFS good to go.
