the male end of my earphones is to small for the hole of the sound device, so Im going to order an adaptor, but dont know what it is called... what to search for (under ebay for example) I tried "earphone adaptor" "earphone jack" etc

Well the first thing you need to figure out is the sizes from\to that you require, any decent store should do them, >>>Here<<< is a reverse of what it sounds like you may need, >>>This<<< would appear to fit both directions for you, but identifying the 2 sizes from\to is your most essential thing to do, hope this helps a bit.
