Okay. Point blank, this is an update to my former post on this thread..

I have found out what error keeps popping up -right before- shutdown..disappearing immediately after it comes up..

It goes something like this...

"dwwin.exe - DLL Initialization Failed -
The application failed to initialize because the window station is shutting down."

Yep. This is the exact error message. I have NO CLUE what dwwin.exe is or why it all-of-a-sudden decided to manifest itself on my PC..

Either way, its rather annoying..and I'd really like it to stop popping up every single time.. No, it isn't too serious. The comp runs pretty well besides, but still...I'm a perfectionist. :-D I've run virus and spyware checks...I don't think its a virus. The computer, again, is running full-speed ahead..no problems that I can see besides this IDIOTIC error message..:upset:

Can someone please help?

It seems like an error is occurring while shutting down and drwatson is trying to start. as a workaround, you could try disabling debugging in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion\ AeDebug

right click on the "auto" string and change the value from 1 to 0

Back up your registry

UPHclean might be an answer as well
