Hi guys, first post here!

I'm usually fairly self-sufficient when it comes to computing but this one's had me head scratching all day.

My DVD drive is tsstcorp cddvdw sh-s223c. It recognises and plays all manner of discs apart from games DVD games (CD games work just fine). I've tried two games in it and nothing. This is very frustrating, especially since I've just spent 30 UKP on a new game.

Any help would be much appreciated.

are they retail dvds or burnt?

Yeah, they are retail dvds. very frustrating.

Try uninstalling the drive in Device manager and Windows will reinstall it on reboot.
