I am having problems with DVD playback. When I play a DVD, it seems as though it is "choppy", especially when people are walking or a car is moving. It seems like the DVD player is too slow and can't keep up. It isn't making a smooth transition. I am running Windows 98. I have a Gateway 550 with 128 MB of RAM and a Toshiba SD-M1212 DVD. It was suggested to me that I check the DMA box in the DVD driver properties but I get a warning that if I do that, it may have undesirable effects with my hardware so I'm a little leary about doing that. Thank you for any suggestions.
