My CD drive does not work. My DVD drive does. I'm trying to re-install Windows XP. When I restart my computer with the reinstallation cd in the dvd drive, it boots windows. upon restarting again, I hit f12 to enter boot options. It let's me select my cd drive as "IDE CD-ROM DRIVE". I cannot find a way to have it boot to the dvd drive, there is no selection for it.

What can i do to be able to boot to my dvd drive so i can re-install windows?

Hello and welcome to the TSF, you'll need to enter the bios and set the boot order from there, it is not a windows option
