DVD Drive no longer able to burn

I have tried burning everything from image/iso files to audio files. Using media ranging from Verbatim DL DVDs, to Memorex CDs...as well as using multiple programs including Windows Media Player and ImgBurn. I have been able to burn prior to this just fine, using the same discs and programs, as well as write speed. The errors I get however are that I need to use a disc that is compatible with my drives write speed, or "Power Calibration Area Error" . I have tried writing at different speeds and get the same error everytime across all programs. My DVD drive is able to detect and read discs in the drive just fine. :sigh:
