I have a LG DVD RW drive which worked 5n b4 n from last year it stopped working.....sometimes it reads discs n sometimes nt...n evn da problm gt worsen 4m da last eight months....nw it z nt at all redng any discs

I cntactd retailer 4m whom i bought da systm...he told me tat da laser readr needs to b changd which is costly so bettr 2 go 4 a new one....I was told by my frnd tat update da firmware 4 ur drive b4 going 4 a new one...

dear noble ones!!!wat do u suggest me to do??

You can see if the is a firmware update for it but looks like typical drive failure.

Have you tried cleaning lens?

All else fails just replace the drive.

s..i tried cleaning lens bt cleaning wizard is run by using a cd ryt...my drive z nt at all reading anythng...
