Yeah, I just bought a brand new HP DVD-RAM/ROM R-W drive and I want to watch a DVD on my computer but Windows Media Player says I need to download a DVD decoder or something like that and they all cost money...I tried to install the software that came with my DVD-ROM and that didn't have it on there. I did notice that one of the downloadables for 20 dollars was called NVidia PureVideo and I noticed on my XFX Geforce 7600GS box, that it has the same logo, but I can't for the life of me find the right driver or decoder or whatever for W.M.P. so that I can watch a DVD! It's so frustrating. >_< grrrr I shouldn't have to pay an extra 20 dollars when this thing was already 70 dollars...

Just download the free Ace Mega Codecs pack and you should be covered for all of your video/dvd/audio needs.
Zoom Player has a free version I think.
This will play just about anything.

Oh I see...but shouldn't the DVD Rom come with a codec or drivers or something?? Or even my video card!? Heck, it even says "Turn your computer into a home entertainment center" on the box of my Video Card, you'd think they would put the right drivers and/or codecs in with the normal installation...
