hi,

my cd/dvd drive cannot read blank media disc ( it can read audio cd and dvd movies though) . I went to toshibas website but found that there are no updates with my driver . I have a DVD-RAM matshita uj 841s that came with my laptop. My operating system is windows XP. The blank disc I want to use is a sony dvd+rw 1x-4x 4.7 GB.

I want to burn a movie that I dl. I have convertxtodvd to change avi to dvd, if that helps.

Maybe your device does not support DVD+RW. Try DVD-RW and see if that works.

I don't know the difference but I know that some devices are picky about what you use and some are not. Good luck!
