Since you have a DVD burner, it probably also burns CDs. Why don't you burn a copy of the original XP disk to a CD instead of a DVD?

My windows cd looks really bad shape, is it possible to copy it to a dvd-r, would it still boot up, or cant you boot up with dvd's

well i wanted to make a spare disk with everything on it, windows, motherboard stuff, graphics card, my music etc
