I think I got the cable's in right the system just will not boot up

dv6000 Switch cover photos flex cables
hello am looking for some info on a dv6000 laptop from hp.
Am not the one who took the laptop apart the first time so I have no
clue the orientation or direction the flex cables are to go for the power
switch cover there are two of them.
the first person that was working on the laptop thought that the cable
was bad so he order one for it but he left town before he completed the
job so I got stuck with it
I don't know if the cable are at fault or something else is the problem
with the laptop.

it powers on for 1 sec and the only thing that powers on are the lights and no fan and no bios. sorry i think its dead jim.
