I have installed this Gainward 9800GT Dual slot, green edition. into my pc
http://comgraid.ru/data/videokart/Gainward/9800GT_Green_Edition-1.jpg

Thing is My TV tuner card is right under it, is this bad? So basicly i only had 2 slots free.
Will this obstruct the airflow to the 9800GT?
The card is IDLE at 52C

This is my PCI layout in my PC from top to bottom:
- PCI mini Slot: Empty
- PCI-E: taken up by 9800GT
- PCI: taken up by the 2nd half of 9800GT, the heatsink part
- PCI: TV TUNER card

My CPU temp is 46C
Core 1: 58C
Core 2: 54C
System: 35C

Minimum PSU voltages when gaming:
+3.3V= 3.26V
+5V= 4.95V
+12V= 11.97V, and 12.14V average

Thanks for you help!

I sit with exactly the same issue as you after having to upgrade my motherboard due to lightning damage. I went for a microATX board and my ATI HD4870 Dual Slot Graphics Card covers one pci port completely and the other I wouldn't even try using. The one that's free was also meant for my TV card but if it's in, there is literally 1mm space between the card and the GPU's fan, so common knowledge dictates that this will render the fan inefficient, unless I'm wrong. I've yet to hear about similar stories, but the thing is my GPU idles and loads relatively high so wouldn't want to risk it. If it's the same in your case rather go for an external USB TV Tuner.

My GPU at the moment is 59c. In summer: Anything from 60-66c

hmm yeh, I think the dual slot cards with the fans sucking from below, should be advertised at 3 SLOT, because that exactly the amount of space thats needed if you want it to cool efficiently.... misguided advertising hmmmmmmmmm

If you have a good quality PSU and good airflow in the case it shouldn't be an issue.
