Dual Sapphire Radeon 5770 cards

My new system (first ever built from parts for me) has 2 Sapphire Radeon 5770 cards with Crossfire link. Each card has 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, and 1 Display port.

I want to use both of the DVI ports on both cards for 4 monitors. All the info I've read so far seems to relate to using 3 monitors on a single card and thus requiring an active display port adapter to work. I read that the card can only output 2 digital signals.

So my questions are: is it possible to use both DVI ports on both cards for a 4 monitor setup? If so, will the Crossfire link be needed or not?

What about Eyefiniti? While it would be awesome to have it working, my main purpose is more real estate so it is not absolutely required. I could make do with the standard Windows multiple monitor setup.

Thanks if you can help.

Using crossfire causes the cards to be seen as a single card. In which case, you are limited to 2 monitors, or 3 using Eyefinity. If you want to use 4 monitors, then you will simply run each card independently.
