you can connect the svideo and have a dual monitor environment make sure you have the latest drivers. you might have to set your refresh rate to 60mhz

I have a HP Pavillion a1320n PC with XP media centre loaded and an ATI Radeon xpress 200 video card. It has "s-video" and standard video jacks on the back. Is it possible to use the "s-video" connector to plug in a standard television?
When I get to monitor/display properties, monitor 2 is not active, I have tried to 'attatch' it and identify and no luck.
When I check extend to this monitor and 'apply' it reverts back to 'not active'.
Is this even possible?
