My computer won't boot:

Computer hung on me while surfing so I rebooted,
OS hung on startup (Windows7), so I reset again and go into safe mode... hangs after loading 'classpnp.sys'

Reboot into WindowsXP (I have dualboot) and it hangs at the logo screen, so I reset... again... hangs after loading 'mfehidk.sys'.

I'm baffled, searched the net and haven't found anything (a few bits and pieces about BIOS and drivers).

Haven't installed any new hardware/software... only windows updates.

AMD Athlon 64X2 6000+ (I think)
4GB DDR2 Ram
80GB WD Sata drive
320GB WD IDE drive
ASUS M2A-VM MB
Windows XP SP3
Windows 7

Cant think of anything else...

HELP!

I would suggest geting your XP install disk, enter the recovery console and running chkdsk
See what it reports and post back any findings.
Dont run the repair function just yet.
Post back if you dont understand But I feel that you do.

I'm going insane!

Checked Mem, both HDDs, and CPU and all seem fine... still both OS hang at the same part. Both OS loaded to login (once) and then as soon as I go to put in p/w... hang.

Tried the install disk but hangs at starting setup screen...

Try down loading Easy BCD from Cnet.,Asit could be a boot problem,Also have you tried using the recovery disc,or your windows 7 disc to try & sort your boot problem
Going to try this now...
