having sorted many problems out with my system i have finally got something resembling wot i want with a dual booting system.

I have 2 separate drives, both have an OS (windows XP pro) on and can boot. My problem being is that to change the drive i wish to boot from i have to go into the bios n change the drive in the boot sequence.

For some reason i dont have the dual boot menu come up to select which OS i boot, like i had previously on my system.

I have installed the same OS on both drives with the same product key..

Is this where i have gone wrong or is there another way to activate the Boot selection menu?

Any help appreciated

Kind Regards

Rob

When you installed the second time, was there an HDD present with XP already on it? If so then it'd put in entries that would allow you to choose an OS to boot to. If not you may have to manually create the entries.

Yes, there was a HDD with XP on..

Help with putting entries in would be appreciated as the method i used to put XP onto the other drive was approved by many forum users n i was assured it would work completely, yet hasnt.

Help appreciated..
