Hi! I have been bugged with this problem. One fine day I find that my USB drive and CDROM drives are disabled. I go to Device manager which shows these devices, but with a big red cross. I right click the drives and "enable" them, but within an instant, the red cross appears again. Due to this I am not able to access the USB memory stick and play CD. (Its annoying too :upset
. Also note that when I connect to the USB drive, in the system tray the shows the "safely remove USB mass storage device" icon.
Following is the information about my system:
System: Acer Laptop 3680 using Intel Celeron 420, 1.6 GHz, with 504Mb of RAM.
O/S: Win XP prof 2000 with SP3.
