DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE bsod

Hi all,

Very recently, without me changing anything on my sony vaio laptop a bsod started appearing everytime i closed the lid and basically try to put it to sleep or hibernation. I have attached the minidump files since this problem started to occur and i would very much appreciate any help since it is a real pain to have to shut down and restart my computer everytime i need to move around.

Run Driver Verifier - Driver Verifier - Windows 7 & Vista (BSOD-related)

Driver Verifier needs to run 24 hours minimum or until it BSODs your system, whichever is less. Then . . .

Provide full system info - Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 7 & Vista

Sorry for not posting according to the rules. After restarting with the verifier i got a bsod showing sfep.sys, so i had to restore but i found i new dmp file, which i guess is what you were looking for.

The new zip file is attached and my laptop specs are:

· OS - Windows 7
· x64
· What was original installed OS on system? Win 7
· Pre-installed
· less than 1 year


· CPU - Intel® Core™ i7 - 720QM
· Video Card - NVIDIA® GeForce® 310M GPU
· Power Supply - brand & wattage - sony vaio / 150W

· System Manufacturer - Sony
· Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom) - VAIO VPCF11QFX/B - Sony eSupport - VPCF11QFX/B - Manuals / Specs / Warranty

Update your Atheros AR9287 Wireless Network Adapter device driver - it is named as probable cause of every BSOD -

Remove NIS/ N360 - NIS/ N360 Removal - sysnative.com - MVP
