:upset:I keep getting a message that my Sigmatel C Major audio driver has stopped working properly. But when I go to Control Panel > Performance Information > Advanced Tools it says its fine. So why do I keep getting the message? And also can that make my laptop slow and say "not responding" often??

Hi and welcome to TSF please post the make and model of your computer,also please look in control panel and in classic view (option on the left pane) device manager look under sound and video controllers click the + to expand the view and see if ther are any error flags yellow ! or red Xs

I have a Dell Inspiron 1720. I did what above person said and all is ok But I keep getting the same message or that it has stopped working and was closed.

Try reinstalling the latest drivers. You can get them from the Dell website.
